Painting by NASTIC

Islandwide across Jamaica  •  Written quotes  •  Workmanship guaranteed

Anybody can put paint on a wall. The difference between a job that looks good for eight years and one that is peeling by next rainy season is almost entirely in the preparation — and that is the part most painters rush.

NASTIC scrapes, fills, sands, treats and primes before the first coat of colour goes on. It takes longer. It is also why our work stays on the wall.

Preparation Is The Job

Before any colour goes on we wash the surface down, scrape back anything loose, treat mould at the root rather than painting over it, fill cracks and holes, sand back flush, and prime bare patches so the topcoat has something to hold onto.

On exteriors we also check for the cause of any damage. Painting over a wall that is wet from a leaking gutter or a failed roof seal is money thrown away — we would rather fix the cause first, and we have the trades in-house to do it.

Exterior Work Built For This Climate

Jamaican weather is brutal on paint. Intense UV fades pigment, heavy rain drives water into every hairline crack, and salt air on the coast accelerates everything.

We use exterior-grade products suited to the exposure — elastomeric coatings on walls prone to hairline cracking, proper waterproofing systems on flat concrete roofs, and rust-inhibiting primers on grille work and gates before topcoating.

Clean, Tidy, On Schedule

We mask and sheet everything that is staying, work room by room so you can keep living in the house, and clean up at the end of each day rather than leaving a site to come back to. Furniture gets moved and covered, not painted around.

Common Questions

Do you supply the paint?

We can supply everything, or apply paint you have chosen and purchased. If we supply, the brand, product line and quantity are itemised on the quote.

How long will an average house take?

A typical three-bedroom interior repaint runs three to five working days including preparation. Exteriors depend on height, access and how much repair the walls need — we give you a schedule with the quote.

Can you match an existing colour?

Yes. Bring us a chip of the existing paint or the original tin code and we can have it matched at the supplier.

Do you paint roofs?

Yes — including proper waterproof coating systems for flat and low-slope concrete roofs, which is a different job from simply painting them and lasts considerably longer.
